Livelynhaven.com A tranquil sanctuary, in the heart of San Jose. One part Left-Coast style, one part contemporary comfort, Lynhaven’s two buildings — The Winslow and The Josie — combine to create a one-of-a-kind experience. Living spaces feature modern architecture, top-flight amenities, and high-end finishes.
Lynhaven Apartments is a property owned and managed by Greystar. During my time with The Savage Bureau, a boutique brand studio in San Francisco, was contracted by Greystar to create the visual look and feel of the subsidiary brand and it's collateral. My responsibilities included lead visual designer for Lynhaven's website, signage, printed and e-brochures, maps, and more.
The Scope of this project as Lead Visual Designer:
A responsive website design that allows potential residents to learn about Lynhaven Apartments
Build a site-map that would allow prospects to view amenities, floor plans, book tours, and apply to become a resident on the website
Develop low-fidelity wireframes to evaluate concepts
Design high-fidelity prototypes for production
Additional collateral
My contributions to the project were crucial in creating a visually stunning and functional website. I began by developing wireframes, involving several rounds of alterations to refine the site map and user flow. These wireframes provided a blueprint for the entire user experience and set the stage for the subsequent design phases.
Subsequently, I created high-resolution user interfaces for each page, meticulously crafting the home page and the seven subpages dedicated to amenities, floor plans, neighborhood information, resident resources, retailers, contact details, and tour booking.
Throughout the design, I incorporated branded elements, including the logo and icons previously created by Matthew, the design director, which added a sense of luxury and consistency to the website.
Drawing from my expertise in UX/UI and responsive design, I crafted a user experience that was intuitive and aesthetically pleasing across various devices. My focus on responsive design ensured that potential residents could access the website seamlessly on desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
The project presented several challenges, including numerous design revisions to meet the client's expectations and ensuring the website adhered to the best usability standards. The luxury aesthetic and high-end user experience were paramount in appealing to the target audience and generating excitement among potential residents.
To achieve this, I invested considerable time in understanding the audience, the client's needs, the real-estate industry, and the unique aspects of San Jose to tailor the website accordingly.
Throughout the Lynhaven Apartments project, my active engagement in design presentations and discussions with stakeholders ensured clear alignment with project goals. As the lead designer, my cross-functional skills facilitated collaboration with various team members.
My dedication and expertise as the lead designer were essential in successfully delivering a sophisticated and user-friendly website that aligned with the expectations of both the client and the luxury market it aimed to attract.
A special shout out to collaborators on this project Matthew, creative director and Mike, art director at The Savage Bureau.
